Track Day at VIR (Virginia International Raceway)

Took my Malibu to VIR for a track day put on by trackdaze.

37 mpg for the 2 hour trip there, 36 mpg for the two hour trip home, 8 mpg while on the track.

Best lap time 2.45.5, not bad for a V6 Malibu with 152k miles and junk tires.
A lot of people there were scared to push their cars very hard but I ran mine along the ragged edge 90% of the time.
I would have paid to see the look on peoples faces as Mustang and Vette owners realised they were being passed by a Malibu with less then 200 hp.

always pleasant to get some proper driving done in a safe environment!

I have tracked 3 of the 4 cars in my EM garage.. the 535i is too big, but great fun..

the 320i is the right size, but not fast enough and the 318iS is about in the middle..

Cant wait to get my current 328i on the track!
