traded up for a newer car.

I noticed my 1992 Civic VX was getting a little rough, with some rust, some dents, 260,000 miles, but it did have newer seats, newer tranny, new axles, new brakes and a whole pile of other work that I did to it over the years, so I sold it to some friends of mine who are only a few blocks away so I can visit the car when I want, I had been trying to get them to buy this sweet 1993 Civic VX with only 197,000 miles! it came from Colorado free from rust, a few odd dents but nothing bad, but it needed an o2 sensor and muffler, these friends didn't want to deal with a project so I bought it and sold them my older vx, after all I can only own so many cars at one time! (4, or is it 5? who keeps track anyway) so I have a new project! o2 sensor is done, exhaust is done as of today, I need to fix a small vacuum leak in the crank case vent tube (where the PCV would be if it had one) and install a CD player and I'll be all set! my '92 VX had all the bells and whistles, like mud flaps, A/C, passenger side mirror, after market sun roof, rear speakers, clock in the dash, trailer hitch, my newer civic vx has non of this.
I haven't driven it enough to fill it more then a few times but it appears to be getting better mileage already, with my old vx I was getting low to mid 40's, with a low of 39.9 mpg towing a trailer or loaded down with lead acid batteries for most of the tank of gas.
I don't know how long it will take me to use up this tank of gas of course, because the weather is nice and my electric car is sitting in the driveway so I only use the vx on days like today where I needed to haul 6 6volt batteries along while looking at what needs to be repaired on a friends pair of GE elec-trac lawn tractors.
I'll try to steal the note book out of the ash tray at some point, fill out the fuel log on here for it, figure out my cost per mile over the entire ownership of the car and entire cost of ownership.
