Trolling ebay for motors, opinions welcome.

I'm not finding the deal Louman got on that 11" DC motor but there is certainly some interesting things to find here.

150 kW AC Propulsion Electric Motor and Controller: eBay Motors (item 180555005962 end time Oct-29-10 13:32:08 PDT)

The Tesla roadster setup?? That isn't supposed to be there!!

AC-50 Electric Motor and Controller: eBay Motors (item 180553270146 end time Oct-25-10 12:57:46 PDT)
Not a bad deal for new stuff.. out of my price range though.

Prestolite MTC-4001 Electric Motor Perfect for Vehicle - eBay (item 270643047804 end time Oct-07-10 15:53:07 PDT)
one of you? I'm considering it.. DC and a little on the small side but seems like a solid motor+price.

Honda hybrid motors:
03 04 05 Honda Civic Hybrid Electric Motor TESTED: eBay Motors (item 120611251126 end time Oct-18-10 10:37:17 PDT)

00 - 06 Honda Insight Hybrid Electric Motor Engine IMA: eBay Motors (item 280570555449 end time Nov-02-10 16:52:51 PDT)

pretty weak, would need 2 or 4 of them.. but a 1 motor per wheel setup would kick ass. or just keep stacking them until satisfaction. They seem lightweight.

25HP for $250, not bad! I wonder what the weight is.. If it's less than 250lbs I'll go for it. Price is right! Gotta wonder why it's so cheap though.
Marathon Electric 25Hp 3 Phase Motor - eBay (item 250644339468 end time Oct-31-10 07:57:59 PDT)

how does this look?
14.7 HP 15340W 3 PHASE BRUSHLESS WIND GENERATOR/MOTOR - eBay (item 230461171435 end time Oct-08-10 20:53:34 PDT)

If I'm converting this right it will do 25ft-lbs continuous and 145ft-lb peak. This seems pretty good! I hope it would do more than 3krpm though, at that rate I may need 2 of them. I emailed the company in hopes of getting some specs. It looks pretty solid though, just want to make sure before I go spending that much.

This dude always has forklift motors:

DC Motor # 307613 36/48v Forklift & Electric cars - eBay (item 180568778270 end time Oct-07-10 12:23:27 PDT)

And this one looks like a real winner, but WAY out of my price range. Also, coupler might be tricky:

36 / 48 Volt DC Forklift motor GE # 97F20 ? 30040 New! - eBay (item 200524600284 end time Oct-27-10 13:36:31 PDT)

And then there's this beauty, but you'd have to convince him to ship it. And he's wrong about the amps, it's 355 amps!!

Forklift 48 Volt DC Electric GE Nissan Motor w/Pump Car - eBay (item 170546553681 end time Oct-28-10 17:11:44 PDT)
