It is if all of your forms of technology won't let you do it

Who needs 'technology' when you have your fellow posters.

I forget who, but someone reported gaining 1 or 2mpg by moving the mudflaps from the rear to the front of the wheelwell (w/ side-to-side swap).

and I can imagine that. I had that idea but to also add fairings (foam and fiberglass) blended to the bumper and sides.

This is actually an old picture. Mudflaps have been gone over a year. What I'm thinking now Is to take out the windows, cut the vertical supports, and tilt the whole roof down. Riveted roof flashing will cover the sides. Still trying to figure out the rear. If I just tilt the roof down I'll end up with an obtuse angle there that I'm afraid will let water in.What would be neat is to keep that long horizontal bar above the windows and have the whole roof be a door to fit big stuff.

Easier to plan with stuff out of the way.

I didn't realize the glass made up 75% of the weight.I'll keep the front glass in. I'm thinking of keeping the whole rear panel and tilting it forward until it meets the new roof line. But then I'd only have about 5' of 10ish° slope and then a steep drop maybe 45-70° I could figure out the exact angle but I'd need measurements.

Last night there was still some residual snow on the side of the driveway. There's still ice in the creek and plenty snow in the woods yet.

I did some more thinking and I'm probably going to cover it with some quarter inch plywood. I'll cut some kerf lines where it wraps around that radius on the upper corner. Then I'll probably coat it with my marine grade epoxy resin. Then paint.
