True eco-supercar - the Porsche 918 Spyder

Porsche has a press release revealing their plans for the 2014 918 Spyder. Encouraging numbers for the supercar horsepower enthusiasts, 0-100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, top speed of 325 km/h and an overall output of 759 hp!

All these numbers are also wonderfully complemented with a high-efficiency mode, drivers could attain 78.4 mpg!

3L per 100 km's is nothing short of unbelievable for a car so spectacularly fast.

Does anybody else have a problem with plug-in hybrid MPG numbers? Are there any standards for the testing? If it will average 78 MPG from full to empty on a tank, then I'm impressed!

PHEV numbers will probably always be questionable. It all depends on how you use it.

Looks like a fun car!
