Trying to choose new(er) car

Well, I decided last month I decided to sell my 91 Camaro. It had become more fuel efficient and faster since leaving the factory, but was too much hassle to keep around. I have been driving my eco-box 96 sl1 mostly for the past year. While great on mpg, it doesn't give me any sort of joy (except when regularly mpg- beating my fiancee's civic).
I am wanting to get a convertible to replace both the Camaro and Saturn.

Prefer:
30+ mpg highway
17 sec. 1/4 mile
seats 4
OBD II
R134 A/C factory
$4000 (give or take some)

I have a couple cars in mind, but I am wanting to see what other suggestions are.

Just spent some time on Autotrader. These are "Old EPA" highway MPG figures :

- Late 1990's SAAB convertible, 27-28 MPG
- 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Convertible, 29 MPG (maybe more 2+2-ish)
- 1996 BMW 328i Convertible, 29 MPG
- 1996 VW Cabrio, 30 MPG
- 1998 Toyota Celica Convertible, 28 MPG

Of all those, I'd probably lean towards the Eclipse or the SAAB.

I think I am going to look for 96 - 99 Toyota Celicas. The EPA rates only a couple MPG below my Saturn and as long as that's accurate I would be fine.
