Seems some dcb-like genius has rigged up a kill-a-watt with a supercap bleed for backup, which powers a wireless capable stamp microcontroller module to connect to the internet and post on a specific twitter account the usage of electricity for the day. Only it is not for soldering-challenged wimps, being sold as a kit. (Good I got my MPGuino pre-soldered. Thanks opengauge.org for small mercies!)
This is a highly circuitous way of logging your usage, but hey, its automatic, and it don't cost a thing in running expenses!!
