Twike- 20 years. Zap? Zenn?

The 1989 City El was improved - mine was a l995 and it was still running last year after I sold it in 2010 I think. They still make them AFAIK. We have a couple of Zenns and a couple of Xebras running around Santa Cuz. I saw this article, perfect timing! I was wondering about longevity-

For sale for $6,800 in Europe. That does not look good for the Elio.

That will give the Organic Transit ELF a run for it's money, as well as the Elio.

Wow. Thanks for sharing this!

It's neat, but I'm not sure how it does much to affect Elio. The Elio is, for lack of a better term, a real car. I can hop in an Elio and drive to Texas if I feel so inclined. Neither I, nor my passenger, have to pedal. I can also drive the Elio on the freeway, so it would actually work for my commute.

Don't get me wrong, it's neat and would be cool to own, but if both were available in the US the Elio would outsell it easily. I doubt the same wouldn't be true on other continents.
