Ugly Duck off-road

So when I first started off-roading with my Jeep it was burning about 1.6 gallons per hour.

This last outing a couple of weeks ago we road it hard for 8 hours completing 6 trails. It used only 8 gallons of fuel.

How did you manage to drop fuel consumption by almost 40%?

He said the road was hard, so that helps tremendously.

Mostly fixing broken stuff. Tuning the carburetor, upgraded the ignition to something that actually works. Improved traction so I spend less time stuck. Of course turning off the engine when waiting on someone else to navigate an obstacle.

Yes Frank the roads out here are real hard...

Note, that wasn't one of the trails we did, these were quite a bit easier.
