I don't understand why there hasn't been an emphasis on stopping tailgaters as well as speeders.

They could easily triple their money, the word WOULD eventually get out; and we would all be safer!

Williston ND. seems to be the economic hotbed of the American economy with their hotbed of oil fields.

They are having insane accident figures in the middle of the day from drivers moving there ill equipped between their ears to drive in snow, and on ice!

It would be pretty uncomfortable to be a native living there all your life, and then to see road dummies flock in!

Happens here (northern Nevada) every winter. Probably worse than North Dakota, 'cause we keep most of the snow on mountains. We've got flatlanders moving here, or visiting for the skiing, and buying or renting 4WDs thinking they can drive just like they can on dry pavement.

Heck, even the natives in snow country forget how to drive in it! The first slippery days of winter are absolutely filled with fender benders and people taking the scenic route through the ditches. They think they should be able to drive like asses all year long, so instead of driving for conditions, they whine to the highway department such that 2" of salt gets thrown down every time someone spots a snowflake wafting down.
