I think an Australian velomobile builder (TriSled) built a very similar sociable tandem from 2 of their Rovelo models. Rotovelo is being sold in California, but I don't think more than one tandem was built.

Here's a velomobile builder in the UK that I have not heard of before, called the Challenger:
