Thats almost identical to what i did on my VX, the only draw back I have noticed is that the police while racing past you almost slam on the bakes to fall back into your blindspot and have a gander.. once they are satisfied they race off again .. its a little unnerving but worth it IMHO

After I did this I realized that I never really used the side mirrors for anything other than the blindspot domes I had on them.

These are far more useful as the long bends on these mirrors let me see from the edge of the car to almost beside me.

Exactly! With the blindspot mirror on my interior rearview and the side views gone totally the Probe's got better visibility than ever before. Have you noticed any mpg improvement so far? You've probably reduced drag by like 5% right?

Yes, I am now solidly above 35mpg for most of my commutes.

Longer commutes yield numbers now pushing 38mpg.

Previous to the mirror mods I was running about 33mpg.

We'll see how things progress.

You will also see a variety of slightly more industrial type blind spot mirrors at your local medium and heavy truck dealerships. Round and rectangular.
