Vx or d15z1 lean burn drivers do you eoc?

I know the advantages of eoc. In my old d15b7 I was getting 43 with normal driving. When I started eoc I achieved a best tank of 50.7 mpg. I'm nervous to try it with my new sensor in the vlx. I have heard that after a long eoc the sensor needs to heat back up for lean burn to work. Is that true? Can this damage the sensor in the long run if using eoc on a daily basis? The longest eoc I would do is 5 miles at the most. I don't want to take life away from the sensor that is so expensive.

I EOC my VX, longest coast for me is 2 miles and in the summer I shut it off at stop lights that I know take a while.
The only time I don't tend to shut my engine off is in the winter because I tend to drive with my head lights on more often and I don't want to shorten the life of my battery.

Ok thanks. Have you been doing that for a while? Years or miles?

I've had the car for 4 years, 36,000 miles and it has 230,600 miles on it now, runs perfectly, main reason for my worries about the battery is that it's been weak for the past 3 winters, but I stick it on a charger a few times a year to top it off while most people would have replaced it three years ago.

I replaced the o2 sensor when I bought the car, part of how I got it for $1,100 was pointing out that it needed a new O2 sensor and the cost.

4 years without a problem is a very good sign. That's a very good price!!! I thought I got a good deal when I paid 2000 for a bone stock Vx in good shape
