Wanted - 93+ Honda Civic VX

Hello,

New member here, new job at work and I am having to drive a couple hundred miles a day, so I am looking to get into eco-modding!

As title states, looking for a 93+ Honda Civic VX, preferable manual, cleaner the better, but am not too picky, looking to spend $1500 max, please let me know and I will do my best to work with you! I live in Odenton, Maryland, am willing to drive 10-15 hours away.

Thank you!

If you are gonna be driving more then 50 miles in one session, I wouldn't buy a car for so cheap. A car that cheap will more than likely have problems. For just 1k more I'm sure you could get way better quality car.

This is probably out of your driving range, but this is a really nice one.

There is a thread in here labeled "Efficient, cheap beaters! Used car ads: 35 mpg highway or more for $1500 or less." Most of the cars in that range are going to require some work and will probably cost you more to be made reliable. I agree with Balto on this one, spend a little more and get something that is ready to roll. Good luck!

SearchTempest: Search all of Craigslist nationwide & more Check this site out. You can search for VX under cars and trucks for sale, put in a distance, and it will search all of the Craigslist ads within that range. That way you can also see what the average price a solid VX goes for.

Appreciate the help so far! I guess I am just naive, I was looking off the blue book value for the 150k mile range on one, I guess these are well sought after?

1992 Honda Civic VX great gas mileage
Might want to check this one out. At that price, it may not be there for long. Just make sure it is maintained and isn't a pile of crap.

Pretty sure 8 hours fits within your stated driving range. If it's nice, and it's the kind of car you are looking for, you might want to jump on it. From what I've seen, VX's don't stay for sale for long.......especially that cheap. Drill the guy for all of the info you can over the phone to find any red flags and if there aren't any............make the final decision. Write out a list of questions before you call and ask every single one. You would hate to drive 8 hours only to find out that the stock D15Z1 engine has been swapped out or that they have a CEL on for a bad O2 or something like that.
Again, good luck!
