WANTED Ford 8.8 Gear Sets

OK long range plans are to put a 6R80 into a 03 Crown Vic.

For this to give me good MPG I want low gears for a 8.8 Ford rear end.

I am looking for 2:26 and 2:47 Gears, and YES they are listed as officially made by Ford.

I had a buddy years ago that had a F150 with the 2.47 gears. It was a 84 2wd with a 300 six and 3 speed column shift.

Aslo Ford made some much lighter F150s and F100s in the early 80s. Easy to spot if you see the 4 1/2 bolt circle on one. Legend has it, they too had the very high gears in them.
I have never heard of anything with 2.26 gears. possible just the same.

Junk yards are a thing of the past around my area.
