My wheel well skirts are made of cardboard.
Covered with overlapping layers of aluminum tape (stickier, flater, more UV resistant and long lasting than duct tape), then painted.

Has lasted through plenty of rain, a few dirt trails, and lots and lots of driving, 5 months so far.



Whatever method you use, don't forget to get both sides, else moisture will eventually works it's way through the back.
