The cost of dentistry has gone up, what 400% in the last 10 years?
Not long ago it was $70 to have a tooth pulled around here (assuming there weren't complications) plus ala cart for meds.
As time has gone on it seems like prices have gone up but the duration the work lasts has gone down.
My mom had a 30 year old crown, she got a cavity by it, they removed, worked and then totally f'd up the crown when they put it back on, 3 different dentists and none seem to be able to put on a crown that isn't painfull and falls off in a year.
I had my wisdom teeth pulled recently, did xrays and the lot and they didn't bother telling me my molars had cavities, couldn't figure out why I had to keep salting the sockets when they were healed
Also if you are decent at cleaning your teeth thoroughly (alkaline water & colloidal silver helps), there are temporary crowns at Walgreens you can press in yourself.
Bleh.
