We are all machines.

I just rolled my fuel log and compared my second year in the Fit with my first year. I'm up 1 mpg, from 44.5 to 45.5, yay.

What's the bad news? I also drove 152 more miles that year. What's effed about that is that I bought the car on Feb 14 so ideally I would have filled up this weekend to cap the year- but I didn't go out on Sunday and didn't think about it when I went out on Saturday. I didn't have time Monday or Tuesday because my time is very scheduled, so I filled it up this morning a couple miles after leaving the house.

I do about 80 miles a day. With two extra days of driving on year two, year two was 152 miles higher than year one. Over 24 thousand miles a year, and they're 8 miles off from each other.

I've got to do something different. I'm trying one thing and have a couple other ideas, but man, something's got to change.

1190 miles last month on $30.25, hard to beat that.
200 miles last week 800 miles in the next short month.
That's beating it.

Fuel cost, this month $1.349@ gal.

52.89mpg

$0.0255 per mile

5 bucks for 200 miles a week, LOL.

regards

Most of my actual work involves snark. Sometimes I get to help someone solve a problem. The hours suck, though.
