It has been awhile but I was a member here with my old 89 Jetta diesel and F250. Now that gas is at the price of the left again, I'm back. This time I've pulled the old '79 Ford Pinto out of the tree row. Her name is Warhorse, and is getting some much needed updates and patches. Unfortunately for the hard core economy people here, it will end up getting a 351 Cleveland V8 later in life. Until then we will see what we can do with the 42 year old 2.3L! (The engine and 4 speed are 1980). The last time I had it out was probably around 2007, and it averaged 23 MPG. I hope I can get it much better than that this go around.

Ah yes I do remember that article. I have an air dam laying around that I had made out of agriculture machine belting for my Explorer. It would probably adapt nicely on the Pinto.
