I am using the newest beta of firefox 3 on my laptop, current stable on my desktop, and the maemo version on my N810 and all see fine.
You probably need to remove your user's firefox folder. It has the userchrome files and such. I'm not a windows user so I can't tell you where it is, but google knows. You may want to copy it to a new location so you have it as a backup. You will lose your saved passwords, bookmarks and such. If you have the folder backed upp you can move those items bacl one at a time, while firefox is closed, and starting it between each move to make sure that it wasn't the cause of the problems.
