It probably doesn't save much fuel, but lithium batteries leak less current, last way longer, and provide way more power when partially drained. IMO, one of the highest bang for your buck mods.

Each of the 2 suburban lead acid batteries took 2 amps just to hold them at 14.4 volts.
So to hold the system voltage at 14.4 it took 4 amps.
The lithium batteries take practically nothing to hold them at 14.5 volts.
The suburbans lead acid batteries also weighed between 50 and 60 pounds each.
The lithium batteries I replaced them with weigh about 30 pounds.
