Well, it sort of looks like a mini-Kammback...

Hi guys

I might have a chance to get a free GT TDi rear spoiler for my Ibiza TDi. My inexperienced eyes lead me to believe that it follows the roofline quite well, and should help slightly towards highway mileage with the added bonus of being discreet.

Google has not provided me with any stock side pic for the Ibiza unfortunately, as not many people seem to care for them enough to take their pictures.
You can probably make out the original (spoilerless) shape from the GT TDi photo though.

Is there something that I've got terribly wrong? I won't mind if it's too small to make any noticeable difference, but if it looks like it would hurt FE I would rather pass.

Yes, go for it. You can use it as a way to attach a larger one to the car.

No, those are good spoilers that let the air separate cleanly, rather than let it try to follow the bent down the tailhatch.

If your current car looks like this:

Than I'd say the spoiler should help a little bit, it looks like the current roof end has a pretty clean break, but anything you can do to extend the roof while maintaining the aero shape will help.

Plus, I think the GT spoiler looks great.

That is exactly what it looks like. I will call the guy who offered the free spoiler tomorrow.

Thanks again

Karadjas -

Jump on it! I wish they had made those OEM for my car. If you get more adventurous in the future then you can use it as the anchor for an extended kamm-back.
