Grille block...that's about it. While winter here has a bit of a bite compared to where I grew up, it's nothing too serious compared to a lot of places.

Was 27 degrees outside last night while I was at work. The water I keep on top of my car froze. gg.

My little car has the engine in the back, covered by a lid. I will try removing the heat insulation and see if it gives me some cabin heat for 'free'.

Probably try a grill block this year. Debating a new airdam. The 1.5" one on there got broke last year.Of course, if this winter is like last then there's no hope for decent mpg constantly pushing thru huge drifts with temps often around -20 degF on my morning commute. Still shocked what a heavy car with narrow snow tires can go through! My Mazda had much better snow tires on it and didn't hold a candle to the Buick in the snow.

Down here in central Florida we have Spring, Summer, Fall and "Dry". We really don't have the "winter" you guys keep talking about, we just have two or three months where you only have to mow once a month instead of every week, and you might throw on a sweatshirt and jeans occasionally.

I did buy a 6-pack of the self-starting fire logs from Home Depot last weekend, and we burned one in the fireplace the other night just to have a fire. The last box I bought lasted two years.

I have cyclocross tires on my commuter bike, and ordered a fat bike for winter commuting. Put fenders on my trailer and extended my rear fender on my bike to keep cargo dry.

The truck is in storage and I'm shopping for winter tires- http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...lly-30408.html in case I actually drive this winter. I'm leaving the car low this winter, so we'll see how that goes. I don't plan on driving it more than a week in the snow, though.

Also, put together an emergency kit so I have it. Includes things like a jack, crescent wrench, flashlight, tow strap, green safety vest, reflective triangle, foldable shovel/pick/saw, fire starter (cotton balls in vaseline), matches, chocolate bar, slime kit and wool blanket.

This barely qualifies, but replacing 245/50R16 performance tires with 225s, probably 50s up front and 60s on the back, but narrower treads also dig through the snow to the road better.
