I would like to add a little asterisk to this. If you have some basic mechanical and electrical skills, you may be able to rebuild the battery for a few hundred dollars and a couple weeks of work. I paid about $120 for 3 battery modules from a newer, low mileage Gen3 and another $120ish for a couple chargers to recondition the other modules.
I would definitely plan on the possibility that the whole pack it just/near junk and that you might need to pay $1-2k for a factory refurbished pack.
