What to monitor with a ScanGauge to improve fuel economy?

I just bought a ScanGauge 2.

What do you recommend I monitor to improve my fuel economy and how do I make those items that I will monitor a part of the main display. It would be great if I could keep those items I monitor visible every time I start my truck.

Thank you,
Ed

I don't own a SG, so I can't help with the details.

I like to monitor;

Instant MPG
Average MPG
Timing advance
Load
Instant fuel consumption
Engine coolant temp
Closed loop operation
Intake air temperature
Fuel remaining

Some other fun things might be torque, horsepower, RPM
