Hypermiling saved me from an accident!

Came over the crest of a hill on the way home tonight there there was a big arse opossum in my lane.

Speed limit was 55 and I was doing 45 and was barely able to dodge it in time, had I been doing 60+ like everyone else I'm sure my car would have been all messed up.

That's cool. Yes me too, I've been spared from deer collisions quite a few times by going slower and being able to stop sooner.
