WHAT? No charging stations??

My apartment was red-tagged (unsafe to occupy) in March so I spent a little over a month desperately searching a new home. Almost 100 apartments, townhouses, duplexes; and not one of them had charging stations or useable outlets for chargers.

I finally chose the best of the bunch- it has 2 bicycle storage rooms inside but neither has outlets (maybe the E-Pod). I wonder if we really *are* ready for the future.

I've used a 50' extension cord out of 2 story window in winter to plug into block heater... joys of apartment living.

I did something similar, but replaced the female end of the extension cord with a weather-proofed outlet box with a threaded pipe punji-stake screwed into the bottom of it. I then stuck it in the yard and routed the cord out of site along planter boxes and bushes.

That would be ideal in my new apartment since the entire first floor is a garage and I am on the second. But with sealed windows on a newer building hanging an extension cord down to the garage might get me kicked out; then another month in a motel room living out of a suitcase!
