Usually engine brake down through 2nd until just before it starts to complain. I don't have instrumentation but was told DFCO is below ~1200rpm on my car.

The Detroit suburbs are a really bad place to really coast, and the traffic makes me stressed enough to not want to bother hypermiling much of the time.

Just looking for the average. I'm sure everybody can find one value they do more so than any other.

Poll says average... you can't tell me that you never drive the same route? Give a guess...don't be so critical

I drive a lot of higher speed roads and highways with more stop lights than stop signs. I tend to apply brakes at higher speeds.

I drive the same route for part of the day. Then I typically drive many different routes as needed. My daily driving varies greatly and is unpredictable, from local streets to highway driving.

Mostly I have to brake for idiots on the road that are in front of me. It's better than crashing into them.

I brake when I have to, for safety's sake. There is no "average".
