Watched the pbs documentary last night on Buffy Saint Marie.
Mind blowing because I didn't know she was even a thing during my youth, but apparently everyone covered her songs.

Yeah, I don't know who that is.
Of course, I prefer Whitney's performance of the song better than Dolly. Also prefer Cash's "Hurt" over NIN.

I did watch An Officer and a Gentleman, but that was about 25 years ago. I only remember the woman (I think) quitting her job or otherwise leaving without permission to run back to the man (played by Richard Gere). It also had scenes that made me think Full Metal Jacket had drawn some inspiration from it, but I don't recall what those were. Probably drill instructor scenes or something.
Seemed like a good film for my 16 year old self, or whenever I watched it. I'll have to watch again someday.

Sounds good to me. I'm a better critic when watching The Voice. Makes me feel like an expert since I can notice obvious flaws and then have stars point out those same flaws.
Put her on The Voice and I'll comment.
I do like hearing a boys choir around Christmas time. I mean, I'd probably never go to listen to one, but hearing a recording is fine.
My 4 year old daughter will get to see The Nutcracker in Portland for the first time. I enjoy it too. Maybe I'm one of those new genders. |

I used to have the Langley Schools CD. It had the name of the eleven-year-old vocalist.
