The first car I got was a 1989 Toyota Corolla. I don't know how many mpg it got but I refueled it every couple of weeks for $16 for a full tank.

Now I got a 99 honda civic. I refuel it every 2 weeks for $20, the lowest mpg I got was 21mpg and the highest was 44mpg.

I hope this one lasts a couple of more years so I can get an electric car, no gas, less maintenance, and I would do my part on getting off the oil dependence.

First car was an '86 Camry, it got me 30+ MPG, not sure exactly what it was. It died after about a year, so I got my '93 Tercel, which has typically gotten me around 35MPG, and after coming to this site, I've been getting 42-45MPG for the last few tanks.

Neither car was purchased with fuel economy in mind, they were purchased out of necessity. But I can't complain about 40's from the Tercel.

First car was an 84 Cavalier wagon, I loved that car. Most of my cars ever since have been wagons.

It was probably my first eco-car since it probably got at least as good of mpg as what I get now. I never really tracked mpg back then, gas was $1 a gallon and I drove only 100 miles a week.

My first eco-modded car is my Celebrity.

This one is funny. My first car was a 1990 GMC Suburban. 17 mpg on a good day.

I traded it for what I have now. 60+ mpg every tank for over a year now.

1973 dodge coronet "half cop car" (true build by dodge/chrysler)

not known to be ecomod but sure as heck could get a world record if push came to reality: a 1987 subaru with a carb. 50mpg was only a surprise once...it kept on doing it. I am on my third, 12 years later,(1987 gl) and know I have to hide it soon, a masterpiece of more than stagnite reality, but of world class fun.
