Where to buy stock looking fiberglass Civic fenders?
My eyes are burning from looking through picture after picture of deity-awful looking riced out fenders with flares and gills and portholes etc etc. Can anyone recommend a retailer that sells just a stock looking fiberglass fender for 1988-91 Civics? Preferably one that ships to Canada? Thanks!

Civic? Try the street-racing "rice-racer" websites, mostly in California, I would believe.

From what I've seen the fiber glass ones tend to be just as heavy as the stock steel ones.

You know, I thought they probably weren't too far off weight wise. It's not like there is a lot of material there either way. Does anyone have a glass one that they'd be willing to weigh up? I could always go steel and get it acid dipped, ala old Super Stock Dodge sneakiness!

When comparing the weights of a fiberglass fender and the steel ones, your talking about only a couple ounces in difference.
Another issue with fiberglass fenders is the fitment. The bolt holes may sometimes be off, the corner light may not line up right, etc..

Ya I remember the fiberglass fenders, hood, and bumpers I got for a Nova I had years ago. What a mess! Nothing lined up, and it all needed so much prep to straighten it before painting. Plus I can get a fender from the wreckers for $25, so I think I will go that route. Thanks!

In the same vein, I had considered a CF hood for my TSX to save weight, but it only saves about 10lbs. The CF truck saves only 6lbs! Not worth the cost, fitment problems, ugly looks, and potential hazard of the hood flying open on the freeway.
In the States, most could stand to loose a few pounds of body weight. That would be the cheapest, easiest, and most healthy option to add "performance" or "economy" to a vehicle.
