In many cases the ECU is under the hood, and they are temp sensitive. I'd at least have one there and one behind the alternator... Its the other heat sensitive gadget... (Diodes)

Yikes! Who puts their ECU under the hood? That seems like a terrible idea all around.

Mine has, behind the battery and now i think of , i did cover the part of the grill that cools the alternator...
