"While you wait supercharging, grab a bite!"

Elon Musk and Tesla is creating a cool retro carhop restaurant with electric charging stations! While you're hooked up, waitstaff on roller skates can take your order and roll with your orders. It would have display monitors playing movies and videos. An average of 60-75 minutes of charge time could be at least entertaining and sustaining. Tesla has their building permit for a Supercharging station at 1401 Santa Monica Blvd, corner of 14th Street.

Might be willing to spend 20 minutes having a bite, but I won't be sitting around for an hour at a time. Thanks anyway!

You don't have to?

75 minutes is to charge from 0->100

It's 20 minutes for 50% and 40 minutes for 80%

That last 20% takes 35 minutes.

Wow. Who but Tesla would've come up with something like this. Seems alright, in theory at least.

Maybe if they made it for all electric cars and plug-in hybrids, not just Teslas.

Seems like a silly place to put one. Now someplace like say right off I80 around Auburn, halfway between the Bay Area and Tahoe, would make good sense.

Jack Rickard, specifically. He's a big Tesla fan and on his website EVTV Motor Verks - Custom Electric Car Conversion Instructional Videos he was promoting, at least a couple of years ago, 7-11 style convenience stores at the Superchargers to make them more of a destination.

But it's pure Elon Musk to take the idea, strap it to a rocket and point it at the stars.

I had a girlfriend in college that was a hopeful roller-skating carhop, but she couldn't keep it upright.

The future of automobiles.

Who knows, maybe this younger generation will be telling our grandkids of the good ol' days when cars used to run on gasoline!

I believe there is such a thing in Truckee, however, I believe most can't make it that far with heavy feet and climate control going full blast.
