I remember seeing some slumdogs claiming their lowered cars accelerated faster and could consume less gasoline on highway, but they were a PITA to drive in town. My only experiences with lowered cars were also not any good.

Look for the video of the guy getting into the Woodruff Special. He starts out on his hands and knees, crawls in and rolls over, then swings his legs in.
I literally could not do that myself.

If rear tires are 100% included in frontal area calculations and one lowers the car 1", to reduce area by one square foot, each tire must be equally 36" wide.
Want to try again?

It's all in what aerohead would call a favorable presure gradient. It would be worse if the shock absorbers were stiill present.

With the front and rear mutilations, along with the exposed wheels, it wouldn't matter much if the body was there or not.
You'd be competing with an Arial Atom, at Cd 0.65.
Beautifully executed though!
