How far can we push the MPG's on these buggers?

I just did the 'Cut the Yellow Wire' DRL-delete mod. It's so nice! No more automatic headlights or energy-sucking DRLs. This morning I actually got to decide when to turn on the headlights. Wow! What a concept!

Pretty much just P&G (engine on) and DWB. I did a tiny amount of drafting, but everyone was driving faster than me so it never lasted long.

That's awesome, Daox! What mix of techniques did you use on the interstate? P&G, DWL, drafting?

Well, I hit a new high. I finally got to drive probalby 80-90% of the tank. Ended up with 47.6. This was on the interstate too. If I would have been able to take country roads I know I would have had 50. Ah well, there is always next time.

I have updated my numbers for the Acetone testing. I am sure I am going to get blasted for improper ABA testing, but the weather here is to inconsistent to get accurate readings for a long period. My current conclusion is that Acetone is a good additive to clean out your engine. Basically restoring it to a like new fuel system condition. On my last leg of testing you can see that the cars ecu takes one complete tank before it figures out how to register the Acetone. We will see what the last tank holds.

Welcome, Audioslave! Have you seen my 'one mans quest' thread?

Trik, that's a bummer with the weather. We're enjoying the rain from it though, it's been a very dry summer up here.

I am going to suspend the Acetone tests until these storms pass, can you believe this crap .. I've had to deal with wind from Faye, Gustav, Hannah and possibly take a direct hit from Ike. So stay tuned on the progress of the Acetone testing ..

I almost do not want to include this tank since the weather conditions were so horrible. The entire tank was driven during the TS wind/rain from Faye. I may delete that record in order to get more accurate readings.

OK the 3 tank part with no Acetone is done as of this tank we are back on Acetone Lets see what happens. For now it looks, like the engine had a hick up during that second tank, but it may just turn out to be a good engine deposit cleaner, these subsequent tanks will tell the tale.
