Harleys are all paint, chrome, sleeveless leather, apehangers and pipes.
Jap bikes can have it too, at a lower cost while also having an enhanced reliability.

I read somewhere a while back that the rear cylinder got shut off to "cool it down".... then again fuel injection is the most technicalogical thing harley has ever played with since the knucklehead came out.

I will say (as a positive) that there new street line is a step in the right direction... Over head cams and liquid cooling?!?!? WHAAAT!?!?
I haven't heard about that shut-off of the rear cylinder to cool it down, and it doesn't make sense anyways. When it comes to overhead cams I don't really believe they're so great at all, but liquid-cooling is a must for any decent V-Twin with a transversely-oriented crankshaft unless the designers intended it to burn the legs of the rider.

If only there were some way to get an even firing order and get the heads out into the airstream.

What do you mean? Don't the heads in a BMW R-Series aready get out into the airstream?

I got it. Anyway, that's another reason why I like BMW motorcycles more than Harley-Davidson, the other one being the shaft-drive.

id like a shaftdrive as a bike, instead of a belt.

I'm a little confused on how this turned into a discussion about motorcycles lol. Where's that truck? I want to see that belly pan!

I know. Things can turn around. But different discussion can be beneficial from time to time.

Ive actually had some things come up (mainly rain), Excuses excuses, but it took 3 weeks to officially get the topper done. And it took 2 days from start to finish.

Anyway. Ive got to get some sheet metal and make brackets to hold up the belly. I cant wait to get it done too. This coming saturday (april 15th) i promise

Since ive been riding the bike around ive bested 40 per gal all highway doing 80ish. That ST just loves cruising at 90-100. Rpm at those speeds sits right at the torque peak. Ill have to slow down some and see if i cant get 50+.

I'm just giving you a hard time. I know things take time and life often gets in the way any time we decide to make plans. Glad to see you're planning things out. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Don't forget to take plenty of pics. Keep up the good work.
