The pogue carb doesn't work on modern gasoline. No one sells white gasoline anymore.

Not true. You can get white gas for camping supplies. I take kids camping and we use it on our stoves because it lasts a while longer and burns a bit hotter(or burns more tastey, not sure but thats how the food ends up).

My bet is an "extra secret" tank of gasoline. Kinda like the way some guys on WVO say their big pickup gets 150mpg (of diesel).

My bet is he is not counting the ethanol content of the E85 fuel, that is only 15% of his tank is gasoline.

These guys making these claims P*ss me off royally. License your gadget to the automakers for a $100 royalty per car or STFU becuase you are blowing smoke.

"This article is about alcohol fuel. For a motorway in Europe, see European route E85. For BMW's platform designation, see BMW Z4."

" E85 is an alcohol fuel mixture that typically contains a mixture of up to 85% denatured fuel ethanol and gasoline or other hydrocarbon (HC) by volume. On an undenatured basis, the ethanol component ranges from 70% to 83%. "

In testing, a Chevy Tahoe flex-fuel vehicle averaged 18 MPG [U.S. gallons] for gasoline, and 13 MPG for E85, or 28% fewer MPG than gasoline.

Oh man I wish I had known about this before SEMA.
That would have been hilarious.

Palmear's headed back to SEMA

And this time he's actually giving a talk. And driving the car out and back again.

Hard to believe the show exec's are dumb enough to have fallen for his BS. They presented him some fuel economy award last year...with no proof of course.
