Ford Mustang getting 100

I am still waiting for my cousin to pry into his co-workers affairs, but his co-worker claims his Ford Mustang gets 100 MPG. I'm thinking my cousin got it wrong and may have really heard 100% better MPGs. So now they get 20 instead of 10. I'll let everyone know ASAP.

It is most likely not the same person as Doug Pelmear. Sorry I didnt get back to everyone yet. But for those of you that are naysayers, google: Pogue carberator. A connadian that got an 8 cly to get 110 MPG. He is in a nursing home now and doesnt know his name on a good day. Must have been poisoned to keep his secret safe. Those days are over since the www. Tell everyone what you know and we can do it our self. Altough we are very use to seeing MPGs get worse or stay the same over the last 100 years that doesnt mean a better way doesnt exist.

Pogue Carburator...I did a search and found that Pogue patented the carb in the 1930s. The patent would have long ago expired. If it works, and is so good, why are there not company's cranking them out instead of a few nameless people claiming to know someone who made one?

Sounds like another conspiracy theory.

pouge carb in my opinion sounds a little like the hho scam out there today.

my dad built a vaporizing carb in the 70's. he increased mileage by 25%, but only by running way to lean. no significant change in mpg at 14:1.
after he ruined the motor, he decided to scrap the idea.

I deeply regret to inform all of you that my source went south on us. I saw my cousin this weekend and when I asked him about the 100 MPG Mustang he seemed to spew out all kinds of derailed misunderstandings. He said it was a co-worker from an old job he had and it had something to do with biodiesel. Not sure how the Mustang got in the coversation. Sorry all but just as all of you here would know if someone said at a dinner conversation "My co-workers Mustang gets 100 MPG" you would have them in a full Nelson and say "Come on, lets talk to your co-worker, now! Right?
