New MPGe & distance record in the ForkenSwift

After switching over to the "A pack" and "tuning" it (bringing in 3 of the strongest batts from the "B pack"), I smashed my previous best efficiency record, and passed a distance milestone (with juice to spare)

161.9 MPGe (207.3 Watt hours/mile)

... and ...

32.7 km (20.3 miles) new range record.

That's 75% "highway" (non-stop) driving, keeping amps below 70, which meant I was going 40-55 km/h (25-32ish mph).

This is a HUGE improvement, considering the farthest I ever went on the "B pack" was 19 km - and that was to nearly empty (first gear crawl up the last hill).

Happydance.

At 0.08€/kWh (French night cost) this is 0.01€/km (0.025$/Mile)
My current diesel consumption costs me 0.09€/km (0.21$/Mile)

This is a little bit less than my commute to my job

The road I take doesn't allow me to go so slowly. To go at this speed I'm obliged to travel 50% more
It seams I will not have a fuel free vehicle soon

Thanks, Denis. If the ForkenSwift had a new pack of batteries, its range would double. So you could theoretically do your 50% longer commute in it on the slower route.

Most of the batteries in the car are 4 years old. Don't forget to include them when you calculate your cost per kilometre.

cheers
Darin
