That is actually something that will be changing. I no longer need to make this easily removable. I wanted it to be so I could take it off for warmer weather. With the addition of my automatically actuated grill block I won't need it to be easily removable. So, I am now open to more mounting options.

Sorry, that was confusing. I meant to put the eye hooks and stuff on the back of the block. The front will look the same; it will just be quicker and easier to deal with the mounting solution.

Thats a pretty good idea.

This is my current mounting idea now. The picture is a cross section of the grill area. The thought is to use a couple tapered wooden blocks to locate the grill block on the grill. These would be glassed to the back of the grill block. I could screw Sven's eye hooks into the back of the blocks and run a rubber band around the grill slat to hold it in or something. The cloth / rubber covering just protects the paint.
