The local college(Texas longhorns) colors are orange and white. That would be my guess for the pedal choice.

It's hard to tell from the picture but the metro has some green astro turff all over. Did not get a chance to tell him he was killing his FE. Keep Austin weird.

No that's the first time I've seen him. I think it is a metro but it was hard to tell since it was pretty far away. Note that the window is down and it was 97 degrees today. I guess he was trying to save some gas after all. Probably cheaper then a paint job.
