I'm kinda torn on this. Until I watched the jobs of my co-workers move to India, I never really thought about where I buy my goods.

I've since make it my mission to, wherever possible, buy goods from countries that treat their citizens fairly. That means places like Europe, Japan, Canada and the U.S., where there are environmental, worker protection and civil rights laws.

It's going to be a tough call between buying a cheap car that gets great mileage or sticking to my principles and not buying goods from India, which undercuts other countries by treating their people and the planet poorly. Maybe my next new car will be a Versa after all.
