I got 16-17 mpg in my old F-150 I-6 when I babied it. I sold it for $700 and bought my escort. If I'd kept it for a year, Obama would've paid $4500 for it as a clunker. Argh.
I agree with BigDave's ideas.
There is a guy on here with a beat-up orange 1988-ish F250 from SoCal getting really good mpgs.
