Turned out excellent. Was about 4 years ago and is still holding up well. I heard that headliners fail from moisture. So I figured both contact cement and polar fleece are waterproof, so it should hold up well.

After removing the board and old material, I used a stiff plastic bristle brush to remove the old foam remnants. Then I filled all the pits and and rebuilt the broken corners with fiberglass body filler. I also used this opportunity to reverse my dome light which makes more sense with the spotlights now to the rear.

Then I applied like 2 or 3 cans of contact cement to the board with a roller, enough to saturate it pretty well. Then I laid down the fabric and pressed it in with a clean roller.

Anybody who sees it really likes it.
