My Scanguage seems to work pretty well. I can throw it off if I do a lot of coasting in neutral though. I think there may be an additional sensor (O2 ??) in the PD engine. Perhaps that allows it to be more accurate.
I can't think of a good way to do accurate testing without using the petro pumps. I'm glad it's working out for you. I am considering the 5th gear swap to lower highway rpms.
