It seems like both of them are at the end of the spectrum. 9.7 degrees seems too shallow and 14.8 degrees seems too steep.

Didn't SVOBoy tuft test his CRX at one point and find attached flow to the end? I think the CRX's hatch angle is just about optimal for minimum drag.

The folks who point out that the CR-Z is a sporty car and doesn't need to be as efficient as an Insight-II are right, though it doesn't stop me from being disappointed that Honda built a car that, with a few tweaks, would have been very interesting to an FE enthusiast.
