Yeah, it definitely felt different. I glanced at my tach, and it was around 900 rpm.
Normally 35mph would put me at the low end of 4th (probably 1600rpm) or maybe 2100 or so in 3rd.
I decided that my new goal is going to be 24mpg - the EPA highway rating -this spring (or maybe summer) with my around town commute. Last summer 22.6 - 23.5 was my general range.
With 100lbs of sand in the bed and the cold weather, 21 is realistic right now and 22 is possible.
