I initially used hypermiling techniques to get it up to 54mpg in the winter and 62mpg in the summer but only if I kept speeds under 55mph and tried to spend most of my time at 40 to 50mph. Aeromodding set me free of these speed limitations and extended the range of speeds at which I could still get good FE so now I can get over 60mpg on 80mph trips on the interstate and over 80mpg on 65mph interstate trips.
An other way to look at your savings is with repect to the average fuel consumption of aprox 20mpg. 71.82mpg/20mpg = 3.591, so that your savings with repect to the average driver is $4600 x 3.591 = $16518! and this does not include the savings due to reduced wear and tair...
An interesting thing about averages is that 50% of drivers get less than 20mpg!
