It's a 1.5L 4 cylinder with VVT and a
way undergeared 5 speed (though technically both 4th and 5th are overdrive). The final drive is 4.31:1 so, at ~65MPH the engine is winding up to ~3,500RPM. It would pull fine at 2,000-2,500RPM.
Edit: I think I see where you got the 2.0 from -- my xA is the Release Series 2.0, so I got a special color blue, a more open grill, the rear spoiler, interior LED lights, special floor mats, etc. The open grill was the worst thing, and it is now closed to less than 25%.
