Wow. Best tank ever, again! 504.3 miles, 33 mpg. I can't even hint to the LGT guys about this one- they think I'm lying about stringing 400 mile tanks together.

61.86
240 miles
I just finished a little road trip, This was the first time I did the rim to rim fill, with my car you press a switch in the filler neck and it lets the fuel space robbing air escape insuring a complete fill before the trip and after.
Average speed between 50 & 60 mph, some stop lights with periods of slow traffic as I passed threw two cities.
61.86 mpg
74 mpg imperial
It is my first properly measured mpg reading so I am pretty pleased with the actual fuel mileage.

It's a 1.5L 4 cylinder with VVT and a way undergeared 5 speed (though technically both 4th and 5th are overdrive). The final drive is 4.31:1 so, at ~65MPH the engine is winding up to ~3,500RPM. It would pull fine at 2,000-2,500RPM.
Edit: I think I see where you got the 2.0 from -- my xA is the Release Series 2.0, so I got a special color blue, a more open grill, the rear spoiler, interior LED lights, special floor mats, etc. The open grill was the worst thing, and it is now closed to less than 25%.

That is quite low. My 1.0 VVT is pulling ~3200 @ 70 in 5th.

A new threshold; 59 mpg and this is due to EOC and P&G. I would not have believed that these two techniques would add close to 5 mpg. I had always thought that only aeromods would get me to the 60 mpg threshold. Live and learn...

441.5 miles
38.5 litres
52mpg(Imp)/43mpg(US)
My first mixed tank using hypermiling techniques. Not as good as my 65mpg(Imp) tank but that was all 50mph on the motorway so I'm not disappointed at all. Onwards and upwards!

That's the one. To be honest, getting good economy on the motorway is easy so I'm proud of getting 52mpg on a mixed tank of mostly short trips of several miles or so. When work decides to pay me I might splash out on a SG and see if I can better it by much. Might aim for 55mpg as an average.

Thanks Charlie, as a bonus to the mpg gained by driving in the slow lane I actually have a more relaxed drive, with no darting past vehicles or complaints about the slow drivers in the fast lane, My commuting experience has reached a level of serenity that can only be reached in the slow lane
